xVision board parties are such a great time to get together with friends, family, coworkers, church members, etc. and dream big about what is to come.  It’s one of the best times that I and the people I invite have together.

Not only is it a time of fun, but it allows you to get together with like-minded dreamers who want amazing things for their world and those around them.  Energy like that is contagious and can influence the mind to truly believe the best for the future.

If you are hosting a vision board party this year, my advice is to set out to do it big!

Not big in the sense of going balling out and spending a ton of money, but big by truly preparing your guests to create the best vision possible for their lives.

Here are 7 great ideas for doing just that so that your guests will be looking forward to your life changing, inspiring vision board party for years to come.

1. Send out a Vision board toolkit preparation kit

This is the crutch for both a successful vision board and making the vision board work after the party is over.  Creating a vision board on a whim is cool, but when you don’t put much thought into your vision, you allow yourself to be vague and send out vague messages to the Universe, which then in turn gives vague results.

When you take time to sit and think through your vision and are specific about what you are focused on, what you want, the affirmations behind each, etc. that’s when true miracles happen.

Prior to your guests arriving at your party, you should send them a vision board toolkit.  This will help them to fully prepare to create their vision board and use the party to build the best vision board possible.  This is a great planner for planning out your vision in depth to manifest their best year possible.

2. Create a Vision Statement

I strongly believe in affirmations.  This is a positive statement about you or your life that you would like to be true.

I believe a vision statement is also that, a positive statement about your vision that you would like to be true.  By creating a vision statement for your guests, you give them something that they can speak over their vision so that it will feel true to them.

It will give them hope that the vision will work for them and help them to engrain the belief on their hearts that vision boards and asking God for what you want truly does work.

3. Create connection

You may have a party full of guests that are comfortable with one another completely if they are friends or family, but most likely you will have guests that are not familiar with one another and may be a little uncomfortable sharing their vision with others.  This is where creating intentional connection comes in.  

Creating connection at a vision board party is key because it allows your guests to loosen up and gives them the freedom to dream without worrying about this stranger knowing what’s in their hearts or feeling judged.  

When they feel like they know others in the room, that can mentally give them the freedom they need to relax and have fun while doing something that will change their lives and others in the room.  

Also, we are talking about accomplishing dreams here, so this is also an opportunity to connect those that might be in the same industry or have similar goals and dreams together.

First start by giving your guests name tags so that they won’t have the awkward moment of meeting someone only to come back around to a person they previously met, and have forgotten their name.  Next, choose a few icebreakers to get the party going.  These will get your guests laughing and having a good time well before the visioning actually begins.

After this, you can then roll into deeper connection activities like those we discuss below.

4. Dream Big Exercise

When it comes to creating your vision it is extremely important that you learn to let go and not worry about how something is going to come to past.  This way you can allow space for the Universe to work it’s many blessings upon your life and wow you.

To help your guests get into this mindset you can do what I call the Dream Big exercise, which is really what people like to call Scripting.  

Have your guests take out a sheet of paper, or provide them with one, and have them to write “My Life” at the top of the page.  Tell them to close their eyes and envision themselves 5 or 10 years into the future and imagine that all of their dreams have come true, no limits. You can play some soft inspirational music to get them inspired.

Let them know not to get caught up on “how” it is going to happen, just dream as big as they can.  

After a few minutes of imagining have passed, have them write down their wildest most amazing dreams for 10 minutes.  After they have finished have them write at the bottom of the page “And it is done”.

This gives your guests an opportunity to dream big, if they haven’t yet done so for themselves prior to arriving at the party.  This creates an amazing feeling and hope for the future and stirs the vision process. 

They may also get more or clearer ideas of what they can add to their vision board.

5. Act As If

I absolutely love this exercise.  This is one of my favorites because it puts me in a world of make believe, and for a minute I really feel like I am there, like I have accomplished everything that I speak about.

In this exercise, you will put your guests in pairs and have them speak to each other as though their dream has already come to past. 

So for example if they were dreaming of opening a cake bakery, they could tell the other guest something like this:

“Yes my bakery is going amazing! At the grand opening of the store we had over 100 orders all totaling about $5,000 net profit for the day.  We are now making $100,000 every month in sales and just last week the news reached out to me wanting to do a story on the success of our bakery!

We just expanded to online sales a few months ago and those sales double every month.  They are starting to do even better than the in store orders, and that’s surprising because we are always so packed in the bakery since the demand is so high.  We are expanding and creating franchise opportunities as well pretty soon because so many people have asked us about selling our product in other states.  I’m so grateful!”

This will instantly stir the excitement and helps your guests to truly imagine that the sky is the limit.  It is also something about saying the words out loud that makes this exercise even more effective and invigorating.

6. Vision Board Success Stories

Nothing gets people more excited than hearing how something they want to do for their lives has worked for someone else in their life.  This is where Vision Board Success Stories come in.  

Imagine if you wanted to pay off all of your student loans and you just have no idea how this can be done.  And then someone in the room stands and says that they put this exact thing on their vision board, and they were completely paid off in full at the end of the year somehow.  

This actually happened to a good friend of mine.  She is a lawyer, so you can imagine how much her student loan debt was.  She asked God for this at the beginning of one year and by the end of that year she had paid off over $100,000 in student loan debt.

These stories stir up the faith in people that are listening, whether it is a similar story to what they are believing for or not.  It helps them to see that this is real.  That the Universe is on our side.

Vision board success stories can be found online, you could also bring in a special speaker who doesn’t speak long but gives a powerful story about what was manifested by their vision board, you could even ask a few guests ahead of time if they would be willing to share, and as they share, others will become more willing to share their stories as well.

7. Give Them Tools for After the Vision Board

A lot of people stop after the vision board is created. I truly believe that a vision board is very powerful, however, it is also equally important that you make a vision board a party of your daily routine.  This puts even more power behind the vision and continues to stir up excitement and belief.  

The power of repetition is not to be ignored.  It is very powerful. It creates belief, tears down old beliefs and so much more.

After the Vision board party, your guests will benefit from incorporating their vision board in their daily morning, or nightly routine.  This vision board guide is great for both before and maintaining a routine for your vision after the party has ended.

I like to take 5 minutes at either time when I first get out of bed or right before I go to sleep to imagine myself having achieved what I have added to my vision board.  Feeling the feelings of what it will feel like, smiling, enjoying everything about it. 

This adds a tremendous amount of power to your vision.

“Believe that you have already received and you will have the thing that you desire”

So at the end of the vision board party before your guests grab their dreams and carry on with life, take 5 minutes and do this exercise with them:

Put on soft music and allow them a moment to just imagine that everything is exactly how they desire it.  They can look at their vision while doing this, or close their eyes, whichever they prefer.  This will show them how easy and enjoyable it is to do this every morning.
