What is the Role of a Vision Board Party Host

As a host, you create the atmosphere in the room, get your guests excited, and inform people about what vision boards are and how powerful they can be.

You keep the flow of the party going and make sure that each part of the event is given the necessary time so that there is time to do everything that you have planned for the party, which will be amazing!

The party can be as casual or as formal as you would like, but the goal is to make sure your guests are comfortable so that they can be free to share their vision and have a great time while doing it.  They will leave this event inspired, excited about their vision, and ready to take action on their vision.

How to Prepare for a Vision Board Party

So as I mentioned earlier, the planning must start before the party begins if you want this to be as effective for everyone as possible.  These are the following things you must do to be completely prepared before and during the vision board party:

Send out the vision board party invitation

Yes yes you want your guests to know that this event is legit!  So sending out a really cute vision board party invite that gets them excited about the event is key.

This can be done with a simple Evite or Punchbowl, which I like and have a lot of great free options.  If you want to get a little fancier, Paperless Post or Green Envelope are super nice and have a few more features.

Send a vision board preparation kit

This is the most important part of creating a vision board.  The preparation.

Vision is created by sitting in a private place and really contemplating the things that are meaningful to you in every area of your life.  Things that you want to remind yourself of throughout the year.

I have created a vision board toolkit that is AMAZING for this.  It’s 60% off for all of my website visitors for a limited amount of time. It outlines everything your guests will need and more to plan the perfect vision for their life and have as a follow up even when the party is over.

You want to send this so that your guests will have time to really prepare for creating a vision board.

Even after the vision board party they can continue to reference the vision board toolkit, because it is so robust that it aids them in brainstorming what’s important and completely outlines their vision and more.

Pick up supplies

Now for what you will actually need at actual vision board party.  Below is a list of supplies that you will need when you host your vision board party. Exciting!

  • Food & Beverages – Guests love food. I must admit it can be a little difficult to focus on your vision when you are  famished.  You also don’t want people so full that they have brain fog.  So small finger foods and small beverages should be enough.  You can also encourage your guests to bring foods and beverages of their own, or even better you can make it a potluck!
  • Poster boards – This is optional as some hosts like to have guests bring their own vision board supplies, which is completely fine, but if you want to provide poster boards, you can find an inexpensive pack of 25 here.
  • Packs of Scissors
  • Packs of Glue sticks, tape, or thumbtacks (if it’s a thicker board)
  • Pictures:
    • Encourage your guests to print pictures based off of their vision that they have outlined in the vision planner
    • Magazines – It’s good to start collecting these ahead of time, but try to have  a few on hand to pass around for others. You can also encourage your guests in the invitation to bring magazines of their own.  This way they can bring multiple and a lot of people also end up sharing them.
  • Supplies to make the board pretty – we all want a board that we look forward to looking at that makes us feel good, and making it pretty is a way to put that extra umph on it.  You can provide these, or also encourage your guests to bring decoration of their own
    • Scrapbook paper
    • Stencils
    • Ribbons
    • Glitter
    • Markers
    • Colorful pens and pencils
  • Name stickers – this helps your guests to get to know each other ad make like minded friends
  • Music – This of course is optional, but nice if you would like to play music while everyone is creating their vision board
